To prospective Ph.D. students

I welcome applications from students with backgrounds in optimization, scientific computation or operations research. These areas are typically rooted in, but not limited to, the fields of electrical engineering, computer science and mathematics.

I hope you:

• are self‑motivated and passionate about research;
• have strong communication and writing skills;
• are not afraid to tackle challenging problems. Note: Ph.D. positions are not available now. If you are interested, I suggest you look for a co‑supervised position.

The following qualifications are preferred but not required:

• a solid foundation in mathematics and analytical skills;
• programming experience, such as in Python, MATLAB and C++.
